Overview of Style Rules Using the APA 7th Citation and Referencing System
- Title [Aptos, 12-point, double spacing, bold, centered, title case]. Keep titles shorter; at most 14 words and two lines.
 - Name of Author [Aptos, 12-point, bold, centered]
 - ORCID identifier under your name. Register at https://orcid.org/
 - Affiliation and country [Aptos, 12-point, regular, centered]
 - Abstract heading [Aptos, 12-point, bold, centered]
 - Abstract text [Aptos, 12-point, double spacing, not indented]
 - Keywords about 5 keywords [left justified], under the Abstract
 - Headings for body of text [Aptos, 12-point, Title Case, bold, centered, one line only]
 - Headings spacing [follow double spacing throughout the manuscript]
 - Subheadings [Aptos, 12-point, Title Case, bold, italic, 1 tab indent – follow the APA levels of heading at https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/paper-format/headings] Do not exceed level 3 heading.
 - Number of Headings Do not exceed level 3 heading. Headings and subheadings must only be in one line.
 - Body Text: Aptos, 12-point, double spacing, left-justified
 - Body Text: Line spacing is double spacing
 - Body Text: Indentation – indent first sentence of the paragraph
 - Figures. All images, illustrations, flow charts, graphs, pictures, etc. must be labelled as Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, etc. Follow APA 7th edition formatting style.
 - Description/citation labelled as Note under Figures. Follow APA 7th
 - Footnotes: Aptos, 10-point, regular
 - Citations: In text citations (Author-date format). Follow APA 7th citation style.
 - References [Heading, Aptos, 12-point, bold, centered]
 - References text [Aptos, 12-point, double spacing, flush left]
 - References must follow the APA 7th
 - DOIs References must include DOIs (including the http) wherever possible for ease of cross checking.
